The role of biocomposites in reducing ocean plastic pollution In recent years, the devastating impact of plastic pollution in our oceans has become a global concern. With millions of tons of plastic waste ending up in the marine environment every year, the need for sustainable and environmentally friendly alternatives has never been more urgent. A promising solution lies in biocomposites, a material that not only offers environmental benefits, but also offDuring our recent trip to India , Trifilon conducted 40 strategic meetings with Indian companies, observing a significant interest in our technology. The enthusiasm for green technology and sustainable solutions was truly inspiring.
Trifilon invites Indian businesses to collaborate with us on our mission to replace plastics with plants. Our advanced material formulations and unique production technology empower local firms to manufacture biocomposite independently in India, creating 100% Indian biocomposite together with Trifilon.
India's abundant biomass resources—rice husks, coconuts, sugar cane bagasse, wheat straw, hemp and so on—present vast opportunities. Leveraging these local raw materials, this partnership has a potential to deliver a wider range of biocomposites at a cost-effective rate for domestic or export market.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Confederation of Indian Industry, Business Sweden, and the Swedish Energy Agency for their invaluable support in making it happen.
