Climate Week NYC 2025: Driving the Shift to Sustainable Materials
26.10.2025
This year, Trifilon had the opportunity to participate in Climate Week NYC 2025, joining the U.S. delegation trip organized by the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce (SACCNY), the Swedish Energy Agency, and Build Edison.

For over 15 years, New York City has been a global frontrunner in urban climate policy. The landmark Local Law 97 (LL97), aiming for a 40% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, has set the stage for ambitious climate action. A major focus today is advancing biotechnology and materials innovation, seeking sustainable alternatives to fossil-based materials.

At Trifilon, it is inspiring to witness how major cities like New York are establishing frameworks that accelerate the transition to circular, low-carbon materials. As discussions increasingly consider scope 3 emissions, the relevance and impact of sustainably made materials like ours continue to grow.

Looking ahead, Trifilon is excited about the opportunities to further support local innovation and global sustainability, with the ambition of offering Made-in-USA Trifilon materials in the future.
